I think some of the heavily flooded Berlin folks upstream might have been wishing it would give way......They say the Fox will rise more in the next few days without any rain, and it looks like it's going to rain more on top of that. Water levels currently over 1 foot higher than any previously recorded. Dave S

Most of you already know, that I live on the Fox between Eureka, and Omro,so I can give you a first hand report of the situation here.First I nolonger live on the river,I now live IN the river. The water has the North side totally evacuated,as of last Saturday.Their homes have two feet of water inside, propane tanks are floating about, trees are falling down along the banks, and it is getting higher. As for my side(the good side) we are somewhat higher, and so far the water has not got into our house. There are smallmouth in the flower beds, bluegills swimming down the road, carp all over the yard, and two muskrats living under my deck.As long as the power stays on we can keep the pumps going, and the basement dry. Here's a good question ..why would anyone dig a hole in the middle of a island for a basement anyway? The bridge on Island Av. leading to my house is useless to cars, and small trucks, because of the water depth on it.My truck gets across ok for now,but if you don't use 4x4 the current will push you around.I want to get my boat out,but with the cars along the road, and current on the bridge,I am somewhat hesitant to try it.As far as the dam busting in Eureka, that will not make much difference to us,because water went over the top of it a week ago. What really would help is if the mouth at Butte des Morts, was deeper, and wider,so the water could escape.I wil send a link along to view,on the current water situations. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/ahps.cgi?mkx&berw3 ....keep dry...hafe

Not to make light .... but you can spear those traspassing carp.

Sorry to here it is that bad, love to fish up there.

And Hafe crossing fingers for you to get through it damage free.

I used to say" you know it was spring when trailer houses floated past you while fishing the rock river."

But it looks like it is spreading, and late to come.

Get every thing out of the basement if you can.

And start reading the fine print on your home owners policy.

Pull the boat, before the river takes it, you might need it to get back in there tomarrow.

It will float with the trailer attached, seen it .

We got 3 more days of rain heading this way.

Wish We all could do some thing to help out there.

Hafe- I didn't realize you lived in Delhi. My house is right up the road on E past Craigs on the curve. I walked down to the island yesterday and it looked nasty. If there is anything I can do like if you need a place to store anything or park or whatever, please stop by anytime. Dave Stadler 8050 Cty E.
