Member Posts: 1406 | What do you think would be the ultimate walleye boat, and what equipment and rigging would you want? Please push your sponsors here as this is what I am looking for. This is probably better suited as an off season question for most of you. But what the heck, Here is your chance to do what you guys do best! 1900 Lund 225 Verado Yamaha T8 (ouch it hurts to say that!) Lowrance LCX104C on the dash and X100c on the bow MinnKota Maxxum 101 36v with 3x steering 4 Interstate batteries Marine Radio AM/FM 8 anglers pro rod holders Suspension seats Ezee steps Livewell with Climate control and the Survivor (hehe) What am I missing? Good Luck Tyee

Member Posts: 116 Location: Germantown and Land O Lakes, WI | All you're missing Ty is the Ranger 620 part, everything else I'd keep the same(unless the 620's rating goes up to 250hp). I'd add a fixed mount GPS Like the Lowrance Global Map 7000c too

Member Posts: 376 Location: Menominee MI, In Da UP Eh? | Wow, what a subjective post...but this is gonna be a lot of fun!!! If I fished almost exclusively big water..... Patriot 2050 with The 225 Verado, or the big Suzuki 225 4 Banger T-8 are nice kickers, but I'd go with a 4 stroke from same Mfr as big motor... Minn Kota 36 v 101 Lb thrust maxxum w/52" shaft 4 batteries, maint free a must... Lowrance LCX 19C and Global Map 6000c onn Dash, Lowrance LMS 330 on bow (GPS enabled) The rest is about the same as I'd keep it, especially the survivor on the livewell!!! If I were to fish all kinds of waters and few tournies... 2050 Tiller with a 135 or the 1710 tiller with a Suzuki 115 four stroke...electronics about the same...and the survivor...A Minn Kota Auto Pilot or Maxxum 24 volt, 74 Lb thrust, 52" shaft, up front (36v 101 lb on the 2050 Tiller) Minn Kota Maxxum Transom mount, 24 volt, 65 Lb Thrust on the back (42"shaft) Seperate batteries (if space allows) for each Trllong motor, otherwise 3 batteries....Maint free... Lowrance electronics including a GPS front and rear - LMS 330c up front and in back. Eagle electronics if trying to keep package affordable... Budget minded? 1710 tiller, 90 hp 4 stroke of an E Tec... Minn Kota All Terrain, 52" Shaft, 55 Lb thrust on the bow Eagle electronics, Fish Elite 480 GPS rear and FishMark 320 up front 3 battery set up...Maint free a must And the survivor on the livewell.... (Bet ya didn't know I'm friends with Robert from Why Not Tech ....huh?) Great product either way.... Edited by Nofish 6/18/2004 11:22 PM

Location: Rhinelander | The perfect waleye boat. Tough one! 20' to 21' 9' center front deck load rod locker ample storage in the front deck dual console plenty of room aft for 4 functional windshields workable transom area for the kicker and accessories large mounting surface on the consoles for sonars/gps electrical system ready for all accessories 250 HP Opti Max 9.9 4 stroke to match on a Panther 5 seats high quality electronics a warranty that is transferrable Vanguard dual axle trailer with all the toys a dead rise and beam that maximizes performance AND ride a Minn Kota bow mount Batteries out of the way but in an easy spot for access large livewell and baitwell Fiberglass/composite construction Nice interior, but easy to maintain and wear resistant under $44000 totally loaded to the Max!!! before tax and license. Let's see. Boat at about $16500 Trailer at $3800 Opti at $15500 Kicker at $1930 Rigging at $1200 Electronics $3200 V-6 kit and prop $700 Misc $1000 Yup. Makes it. There are several out there that are described here, so from this point I would drive the rig and test the ride. Tuffy, Patriot, Yar Craft, and Skeeter either have a boat to these specs or will for '05. There are other builders that have the boat, but the price goes up considerably. Why that price? It is, unfortunately, even with a 10 year loan, all I can pull out of my budget...
