Subject: State Farm Ins. Boat Damage and Equipment Theif

Three weeks ago my boat was broken into , in a storage area at Vermilion , Ohio. damage was done to canvas, and bimini frame . Everything I owned for Erie trolling was stolen. Trolling rods, lures, anchor, tite lok rod holders, jackets, side and aft canvas, trolling boards, ect. everything in the boat was gone. What a sick feeling.I have had boats most of my life and this has never happened to me before. I have had State Farm Ins. on my boat for a number of years, never had to file a claim, before this. I have to say they treated me right. Paid for all damages and covered 1000.00 of equipment (1000.00 extra coverage I added on years ago). Equipment value was 2000.00 plus, trying to cover the other 1000.00 on home ins. I will keep State Farm Ins. A word to the wise, no mater how safe you think your boat is , If someone wants in it they will find a way. He or they climed a 7 ft. chain link fence to get in mine. Also, take pictures of your equipment, it will help if you have to file a claim. Mike A.

Man, the theft stinks!! I am glad State Farm Insurance took good care of you in handling the claim, and I hope someday the culprit is brought to justice.
