This being the boat and sport show season, along with many of us rigging our boats and others looking to buy, I thought it would be helpful to start some posts in regards to the different boat brands that are available. In a short paragraph or two, tell us what you like about your Crestliner.

I currently own a Crestliner TS202 and I love it. This boat has the perfect layout......rod storage, tackle storage, oversized livewell, room under console, baitwells, and battery storage all in the perfect places for my liking. I like the ride too, as I feel it is under-rated when being compared to other boats.

I have my current boat for sale and just ordered a 2005 TS 202 on Friday. The people at the factory, the tournament trailers, and office are top notch. They're always willing to go the extra mile for a customer. I'd recommend a Crestliner boat to anyone.

I bought a 1996 Crestliner 1850 ProAm single console, new in fall of 95, with a 125 Merc and a year later upgraded to a 150 Merc EFI. It has been an great boat. I have done a few modifications, like in floor battery storage just behind the casting deck. The boat fishes and tracks well, is very stable and sits level in the water, no problem with wind blowing the bow around. I spend most of my time running the boat from the transom electric (36 volt Minn Kota). One of my only complaints would be that the paint scratches easily.

Even though I love the boat I'm looking at replacing it this year and considering switching back to fibreglass and back to tiller. I'm looking forward to seeing the posts on these "Tell us your story" threads, fantastic idea.

Last June bought a 2004 crestliner 1750 fish hawk. Love the lay out and dimensions. Couple minor issues. The factory seating feels too high to me even though I am over 6 feet tall. Tried shorter posts from the dealer to sit a little lower, but the bases are too close to sides to allow them to swivel without hitting the sides. Seems the manufacturer should have known this. The bases could easily have been placed about 2 inches out and there would be no problem. The dash is very racy looking but doesn't leave much room to mount electronics. The rod box lid could have been longer, though it has a nice long rod locker. Thought I'd have a nice dry ride on 'bagos roughist days but I still get sprayed. It sounds like I don't like this boat but actually I love it!!!! Maybe I expect too much for $16,000.

Fished out of a 1850 FishHawk for two years. This is a great boat for a serious fisherman, has a ton af room in it with adequete storage. Had to add some upgrades on what I thought should be included on boat set up for fishing. Since, some of them have been added. All in all a great boat for the $$.
Moved into a TS202 last year. WOW!! This is a wonderful boat all around, ride, storage, livewell, room, ect... One improvement that could be done are the counsels. Not much room for electronics and a dry storage compartment on the other one would be great.
As far as dealers: Can't beat Dave's Sport and Marine. Dan, John and Rev, these guys take care of you.

As eye2eye would know, I run a 202TS and is a great boat but I wish I could design my own walleye boat.

Hiya wolf walleye,

Yes, that was RangerPat's 619 I borrowed for Dunkirk and the FLW walleye event on Bago in 2003. It was before I had my TS202. I borrowed it because I had damage to my Lund 2025 LE.

I have a 1999 Crestliner 1650 Fishhawk tiller, with a 50 HP Merc. I have never had a problem with the boat or motor. I chose this rig because I spend 80% of my fishing by myself. It launches easy by myself I chose the tiller model bacause I use the boat 11 months out of year and spend alot of time jigging rivers. A councel in this boat would take up too much room when river fishing. I spend 3 months during the summer strickly fishing on Winnebago chasing walleye & Perch, and it handles her water very nice also. If I fished more tournaments I would definately stay with a Crestliner just a little bigger. The boat is back out in February every year fishing brown trout by the Oak Creek Power plant. If someone is looking for a 16 1/2 footer I would suggest this boat to any one, it will be with me for a while yet!!!

I run a 2004 TS202. Love it and looking to sell and get into an 05. My only thing is that I wish the compartments fit the 3700 boxes better.

Last fall I upgraded from a 1994 Smokercraft 14' Big Fisherman w/25 horse Evinrude tiller. I picked up a mint condition 1996 175 Sportfish (50'th year aniversary edition) with 115 Johnson and 6 horse 4 stroke kicker, and all of the goodies. The main reason for the upgrade was safety, and room for the family. She was good to me last fall, and looking forward to some open water trolling in the near future. Here are a couple pictures from before ice up.
