Has anybody used these tiny little wrist-band remotes? It really doesn't show or state much about it's functions in the BPS Catalog. But I'm tired of trying to hide, tripping and kicking around the foot pedal and cord when it's not in use. Wondering most about the continuous variable speed control. Whereas the foot pedal has the sliding speed levels from 0 to 10. The remote only has buttons shown, and was wondering about the variable speed feature and how it works on the wireless.

Of course there is also a left and right steer button, and in the center a motor on and off button. There is no access to the auto pilot function though on the remote. Read up on the little manual as there are some tone functions that can be helpful. You can select a little audible chirp which sounds when the motor is on, I like that for when I'm at a very low speed and you begin to wonder if it's on or off. Old age setting in I guess.

Member Posts: 129 | Capt Dan, I have to concur with these guys-the Co-Pilot is great! I'm not sure how we ever fished before with such crude, underequipped vessels Tim "Toolman" Joseph Edited by Toolman 9/22/2004 11:30 AM

You are going to love the co-pilot......I have had one now for 2 years and feel it is one of the best investments I made for my boat.....Can operate from anywhere in the boat and it will pull my 1950 through wind and waves......Good luck with it.......

![]() Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | One more question. Are the remote buttons individual? I mean is each one programed onto itself. Being they seem to have quit a long range from all the feedabck I'm getting, I'd hate to have some other guys remote take over my steering on a crowded river or lake. Might not be the safest thing to happen hey? And if I order an extra button, will it have to be programed to my units particular setting? Edited by walleye express 9/22/2004 3:18 PM

Member Posts: 51 Location: Eau Claire, WI | The remotes are pre-programmed from the factory, and have different/multiple frequencies...The computer can store up I believe 10 codes, but the odds of anyopne from another boat being able to control yours is infinately small......I have 2 remotes programmed, and it's sometimes fun to "override" my son when he is engrossed on structure.....Have fun with it, it's a great unit......
