Gonna be powering a new boat this spring, I'm curious to anybody's real life encounters with the Evinrude E-tecs. V6 models. Also the Evinrude 225 HO E-tec?

Also kicker motor thoughts? T8 on the back next to an Evy?

Jayman,

I don't think you'll get too many replies. They just came out. My marina sponsor had a chance to drive one and was truly impressed. That's probably the kind of reply you'll be getting from others.

Thanks Dennis.

I realize they are out in very limited numbers at this time. I'm considering one on my new rig. I'm just looking for as much info as possible.

Jayman congrats on the new rig. I to have just made the plunge and ordered a Triton 198. Everything I have heard about the e-tecs has been very positive but a little to new and unproven for me. I went with a 200 hpdi yammi and the t8. They are to sweet to part with yet. Good luck deciding.

Mark, Congrats on the new rig. I'm still in the ordering process looking for any tid-bit I can find about the E-tecs. The 255 HO grabbed my attention and everything I've heard about the E-tec has been positive.

Are you gonna be at Spring valley again?

Yes hopefully, if we are lucky enough to get drawn. I am also going to fish the WAT with John Mannerino this year. Sort of broadening my horizons so to speak. Are you going to fish all the central division in the MWC this year. I think your new boat would be better equipped if it had the EZEE STEP on it. Let me know and I will see if I can get you a deal from the boss(I've got an inside if you know what I mean). I'm taking off tomorrow morning to go fishing with Hutch up in prairie du chein for a couple of days. Hopefully I will learn something from the master. Give me a jingle when you get down this way, either wetting a line or telling a few tales over a cold one.

Mark,
The plan is to fish the MWC central divison and the challenge Detroit/Erie with Chad Carroll. We'll probably be at the Tiki again this year. Stop over, I'd be glad to share a beer or two with ya again from my cooler. Hmmmm an EZEE Step, how come I figured you'd bring that up.....Great product, I'll consider it. Good luck on the WAT with John. And tell Hutch the crazy guy about the flies at 'bago says "hi".

Talk to ya soon.
