| I have a 17ft Lund and bought a drift sock that was rated for this size boat. It still doesn't seem to slow me down enough when vertical jigging while drifting. I'm not talking big waves either, just a good walleye chop. Should I have bought the next bigger size? Should I have bought two socks? What do you guys reccommend. Wave Tamer, Drift control? |

Location: Wisconsin | I have a DriftControl and bought it 1 size larger than needed. Seems to work OK but takes a bit to inflate it.
Friend of mine bought a Cabela's this fall and it seems to work just as good and also seems to inflate a bit faster.
If I were you I'd buy a second the next size bigger and between the two you should be able to tailor using one, the other or both to the situation.

| I've got 2 25" Drift Control socks. Use them when I need to slow down while trolling, or drifting. I have them on 8' leads. When drifting, I put them on the cleats on whichever side of the boat I want. When trolling, I put them on the front cleats.
I've been in boats using just one, and it seems to make the boat track funny. |
