| Hi all! First time to the new site. Looks good! Just wanted to give you the latest on the fishing here on pool 4. Today, despite the cold and wind, there were numerous boats off the water today by noon with limits of nice sauger with an occasional walleye mixed in. The weekend was a madhouse out there. Ton of boats....(300 +/-). There were many limits comin off the water with just about every method putting fish in the boat.....Jig N minnow, crankbaits, 3-way live bait rigs and plastics. I heard of a 29.5 inch walleye caught along with a few other "big" fish. The water temps are hovering in the low 40's.....for now. It looks as if it's gonna get a little cooler for a couple of days, before warming up nicely by the weekend. The water is on the rise, which should only improve the fishing. It came up 4-5-6?? inches overnight.
As far as areas to fish.....the dam is always a good bet, but there are quite a few fish coming from downriver now as well. Don't be afraid to venture downstream!
Again, great site here. I look forward to seeing it grow. For the latest up-to-date info, fishing supplies or snacks....stop on in. Thanks. Good Luck.[:)]

Location: Lake City MN | Thanks for the report Steve, we really appreciate it. Steve runs a great operation up there, you can allways count on him to have the launch ramps in perfect shape even in the dead of winter, which is no small task. Anyone that is fishing the area and needs a place to stay should really consider his cabins, you have the convenience of staying right on the water with immediate access to the main channel, and all at about the same price as a hotel in Red Wing, maybe even cheaper. Looking forward to hearing more from you in this forum. Thanks again.
