Hey guys, I'm looking to get a GPSmap 130 and a fishfinder 240 software updated, they are a few years old, someone told me I need to send them in? Will I lose all my waypoints? I want to be sure they are updated before I sell the boat! Besides No one would want my waypoints anyway!
Good Luck

Location: Rhinelander
I'm pretty sure if the software gets updated you lose all data. I'd take your waypoints...

I would call customer service. They may be able to pull the waypoints and replace them after update. Garmin has a great customer service crew and they can tell you before you send it in.

They should be able to turn it around very quickly. I would guess a matter of days.

Good Luck,
