Friday night, January 7th, the fishing world lost a very dear person. Dusty McQuoid, the wife of Terry McQuoid, and mother of Aaron and Kevin McQuoid, passed away after a 14 month battle with cancer. She was a very special person, and will be missed by us all.

For those of you who knew her, or would like to send your condolences, here are the arrangements.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Monday, Jan 10 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isle. Funeral (also at Faith Lutheran) at 10 am on Tuesday, Jan 11 with lunch to follow. Visitation for 1 hr before.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Dusty’s name to the Mille Lacs Area Foundation Healing Garden, P.O. Box A, Onamia, MN 56359.

Jack, thanks for posting this. We heard about it the other day, but I didn't think it was my place to announce the sad news.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. I never got the chance to meet Dusty, but I heard great things about what a wonderful woman she was from Rick, and I feel a loss only knowing her in my imagination. For those that knew her personally, I can only imagine what a great loss this is for them. I know she touched many people's lives in a positive way, every day of her life, and for that she will never be forgotten.

Sue and I are very sorry to hear of this loss. I met Dusty many years ago during the MWC early days and have stayed at their Inn a few times since. She wil be missed. Our prayers go out to the family.
