my boat is under a cover in the yard, out there all alone in 18 below zero temps. I wonder if she'll be mad at me for that...

Red Wing is open!

It's hit or miss right now with the fish. One day can be good to great with the next nothing.

Ice is for Mixed Drinks

In my area, I'll need to see if the launch is still open to the Oak Creek power plant. The brown fishing has been great there this winter and a couple of ingenious guys have been working diligently at keep the launch open. I fear that this cold spell may win the race! They do use chain saws however.

It may be time for me to head south. A 5 hour drive usually puts me back in open water. But reports indicate flooding problems in some of the winter watering holes.

Good thing the Milwaukee Boat Show starts in a week. If you guys get real board, come on down and say hi. I'll be there all 10 days. Look for me in the Main Marine/LUND Booth.

Heck My first tourney is less than 6 weeks away!!!!! Doing prep on rods and cranks now. The IL governors cup is march 5th/6th on the IL river. The way the water keeps comming and comming and comming, I hope the ramps are not flooded and we can get out. One thing for sure, the river wont have any garbage left in it from last year!!!!.
