| Yep.
Here's one for ya- We got a new head of fisheries in Montana a couple of years ago. At a public meeting in Helena, Mt.... he was introduced to all present.
As the meeting progressed the topic got to avian (bird) predators..... fishermen , of course complaining about the cormorants, pelicans, and Greater Western grebes being bad for the game fish populations not only on the reservoirs, but also the rivers.
The new director stands up and makes his first pronouncement: "No, fellas, you are absolutely wrong there. These type birds ONLY eat rough fish, NO game fish".
Somebody said... aw baloney (or such).... and he repeated it..like in his "end of conversation", tone.
There was much laughter, at first...the ridicule kind..
But folks,... I gotta tell you, we got worried upon seeing and hearing that. (As it turns out, rightfully so). |
