Well I made it out to check the Ice below the Dam and there is about 8".You can park above the dam and walk in or you can park at the launch and take a 4-wheeler or sled up to the dam just make sure you stay on my trail. After we get done with the snow removal tommorow I'll break a new trail to the dam.The size of the fish are between 14"-16" mostly sauger as of now.

Good Luck

I am going to school at UW-Platteville and was wondering if it would be worth the drive up there to ice fish. What do you guys use up there and where is the dam exactly? Thanks for the help!

The dam is 10 mi north of P.D.C. on hwy 35.Most everyone uses long rods just like you would use for jigging. We have bait and tackle and can point you in the rite direction.Just remember to stay in the areas that people have been fishin.

Does anyone know how the ice is holding up? I want to get up there and give it a shot next weekend possibly. Are there any other areas worth a shot ice fishing on pool 9 or 10? I hear there is Bussey Lake, but am not familiar where exactly that is. Thanks for the help guys! Also when does the ice usually go out up there? I can't wait to get back out in the boat!
