Member Posts: 164 | For any WalleyeFIRST fans who are in the listening range of WLBK 1360 AM in northern Illinois check out The Fishing Fanatics radio show tonight between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. It is going to be a lively one. We will talk a little MWC with Kristine Houtman. Ranger pro Mike Gibson is going to spill the beans on the Illinois River. PWT Pro Steve Fellegy will share his thoughts on pro angler compensation and the future of the PWT. It's gonna be a good one! If you can't hear it live there is a rebroadcast on Saturday mornings between 6 and 7 a.m. If you are out of range Zach will have the show loaded onto WalleyeFIRST and MuskieFIRST this weekend. Thanks for all of the support! Dave Landahl Fishing Fanatics Radio [email protected]

Member Posts: 43 Location: DeKalb, Illinois | Just got back from broadcasting the live Fishing Fanatics Show and it rocked! Dave and I along with our guests: Kristine Houtman, Mike Gibson, and Steve Fellegy had a full packed to the brim hour of walleye fishing information. Kristine talked about the MWC their format, locations, and about the record amount of anglers in the Central division. She also touched on event location choices and why the MWC decides to hold events at certain places. Mike Gibson touched on the Illinois River, custom colors that he paints, and his views on what the River is going to be like for the upcoming tournaments. Steve Fellegy talked about angler compensation in Profesional walleye angling, his views on the future of the PWT, and other hot subjects. Our guests had so much information that we had to cut them off early. We could have gone on for hours!. Speaking of which in the near future the Fishing Fanatics Radio will be extended to an hour and a half so we can expand our interviews and throw in some new stuff. Listen right here on WalleyeFIRST late this weekend when the show is added. Also the show can be heard live in Northern Illinois on thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30pm, with a re broadcast on Saturday mornings from 6-7am on 1360am WLBK. Thanks for all that are listening, and we plan to have more great shows in the future, and thanks to Outdoors First for streaming the shows on WalleyeFIRST and MuskieFIRST.

Dave and Pete..thanks for the opportunity! As Gordy so rightly states, it hard to stop me when we discuss the welfare of professional anglers and the way the fishing industry views and works within the angling element....consistently and historically. I welcome the next opportunity as Dave and Pete promised, to not only talk of how things have been and are, but how I see things need to and CAN change for the Pro Anglers to finally reach a base level of financial survival, no different than the marketing dept. staffs and tournament staffs do from their warm and dry on shore vantage point. Yes..the money IS there. Again, thanks Dave and Pete! I can't wait for you to bring in a veteran body from the marketing dept. world to "discuss" these life or death issues. A guys gotta eat ya know! lol Keep a tight line.... Steve Fellegy NPAA #49

Just want to say thanks for the invite on the show last night. Pete and Dave you guys are doing a fine job with the show on the air and being able to bring on the web is even better. I look forward to being a part of the show in the future. We had The Illiana Walleye Club meeting last night with a presentation by Tom Scarlis and man it was fantastic. Having radio shows like yours and meetings where we are able to hear presentations and share what we all have learned over the years is just so great. I know I learned about 5 different things last night from tom,But it also cost me some crankbaits too But thats what its all about. If you cant learn one thing every time you go fishing, or lissen to the radio, or hear a seminar well then you better get use to the skunk smell in your box. Thanks again keep up the good work Mike Gibson #00

WOW nels that was 3 or 4 years ago. I am suprised you still have it. You know that one was the only one I painted that color. I would be willing to paint you a few more for some more of the wonderfoam, I am all out and that is the best cleaner I ever used for boats. Give me a call Mike Gibson NPAA#00

Member Posts: 164 | I am sad to say that this edition of The Fishing Fanatics will not be available on WalleyeFIRST or MuskieFIRST. The station producer encountered some technical difficulties when recording the program. I apologize for the build up and nothing to show for it. If you have any questions please e-mail. Member Posts: 171 | That is a bummer! I was looking forward to some free info from Mike on the river, there aren't too many guys out there that know the Il;linois and those techniques better than him. Hey by the way Mike, about those lures, still got em? Rob

Member Posts: 164 | It must have been the Illinois River gremlins preventing the info from leaking out. Seriously, ain't technology grand? Dave Landahl Fishing Fanatics Radio [email protected]
