Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | WOW, And I thought that many of us had rough conditions fishing in Wisconsin this past weekend? Think about all the Pro's prefishing for the start of the FLW on Lake Erie. No one was able to get out over the weekend because of the extremely high winds/waves. Then they are hit with a snow storm! Looks like they will be able to prefish today for tomorrow’s start. Winds look like they will behave the remainder of the week and temps should be in the 50's. Rain today and possible rain on and off the remainder of the week. Talk about tough bites! I'd guess that those who were able to find fish prior to this past weekend are hoping that those fish are still there. Most people only had an opportunity to prefish for 1 full day (prior to today). I can only imagine how dirty that water has to be. Tough conditions will bring out the best in people. This one will be interesting! I'll guess low weights at the beginning of the tournament and then we will see those big weights at the end of the tournament that we are all accustomed to on Erie. When can we start guessing?

Member Posts: 3899 | I think there will be some great weights right from the get go. Just not a lot of them. Will definately be interesting. I suspect a significant portion of the prefish time will be trying to find cleaner water, as that will be key. Look for some to be pressing the border east of the islands. Right now, I'm glad I signed up for the Green Bay event this year! Either way, good luck to all WFer's. WF's Mike Dutton had a great start toward making the Championship with a good finish at Bull Shoals. Another good finish here will go a long way. Good luck to Monkey Boy, too! And Juls, and Ric, and.....! Edited by Shep 4/26/2005 11:41 AM

Member Posts: 580 Location: Green Bay, WI | If you want to see how dirty Erie is you'll have to wait for the clouds to clear too. The latest picture gives you a preview of what the eastern basin looks like. http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.cgi/modis?region=e&pag... It looks like it will be less fun than Petenwell, at least for me Sunshine had a great time(BTW nice job!), less fun that is because it will be three days long.

Member Posts: 363 Location: Kaukauna WI | Thanks Shep, But do to things out of my control and unwilling to have the truth come out on the FLW Outdoor Walleye Tour I will not fish or participate in a FLW Outdoor event. I was falsely accused of doing something and because of this it is agreed I no longer fish the tour or league events in 2005. I do warn all that participate all it takes to get some one removed from the FLW Events is a written letter to the Director and statement that an angler did this or that and you too could be bared from competing even if there is no true evidences against you accept that persons written word (FLW Rules will not even let you know of who your accuser is also). Please also note it may not be a fishing related matter or said directly to that person for they may have just over heard you talking to someone else. This is not for debate and if you wish to talk to me call me directly and I will answer any questions. I look forward in fishing MWS and other local events on Winnebago this summer with fewer headaches (Plus some PWT events I am alternate for) Edited by irishwebs 4/26/2005 1:49 PM

Member Posts: 110 | Well, I would have to put my money on the veretans that have fished Erie in the spring before. The fishery is somewhat predictable year after year. I hope they have some good safe weather going out.

Member Posts: 1406 | It sounds like there is an Ethical or Moral behavior issue involved possibly even deflamatory or illegal. All tournament participants, should be held accountable for their behavior ON and OFF the water. No matter what your profession the only thing that matters in life is your credability amoungst peers and employers, not that I'm questioning it, I don't know you, but obviously someone has. It's interesting that you post this statement although without knowing the facts it's worthless and demeaning to the FLW. Hence the negative stance makes the post worthless in value and content, you should reconsider your position of posting it for the world to see. If you feel strongly enough to make such comments you should feel strong enough to post the whole story! Good Luck Tyee

Member Posts: 363 Location: Kaukauna WI | What I describe here is a full description of facts presented to me via Sonny and FLW. I was told that I did something wrong and when I presented prove other wise I was told not good enough. So if you wish to question it call me direct and we will talk further on subject.
