Well I finished my prop testing for this boat finally and all I can say is wow! With the Mertens power steering and a 21P Tempest plus here are the results.
Tested light load (just me and limited gear) so i would know where the RPMs would be solo;
5950-6000 rpm, 53 mph, fully trimmed, on level plane in 3 seconds max.
Yamaha suggested running this engine at 6000 rpm. I will be on Winnie this weekend with three guys in the boat so we will test hole shot with a tourney load. The Mertens system is nothing short of awesome and worke well on Mill Lacs in rough seas and is very comforting to hang on to when doing 53 mph in a tiller running on the boat pad (quite exhilirating to say the least).
I feel Tuffy has hit a home run with this boat and I can't wait to send it thru the paces with 3 guys.

Let us know how she does with three, I curious to see what the top end with that sort of load will be.
