we are looking forward to a great year on the Bay and will be giving all you fishing enthusiasts the best in Bay de Noc action!
it was raining when getting on the water at 7 am and still raining when we came off the waters at 2 pm this afternoon. Easterly winds were light and picked up too about 15 mph. by mid-day.
We found fish in water depths between 16 and 22 feet, sand mud bottom. Techniques used today and 1/4 ounce lead-head jigs tipped with crawlers.
Our best fishing presentation was slow drifting by allowing our drift bags to let us cover lots of water while we fan-casted the jigs. A very slow pop-hop presentation allowing the jig to just pause and sit took our fish today. Catching 8 nice eating size fish we did move throughout the Bay showing Jake and friends places they could spend time on their own in the upcoming 3 days.
Also in several other areas we took fish in water depths of almost 35 feet.
Skies are clearing and it's looking to be a nice day for tomorrow's fishing, we'll see you on the water.
Here's the guys with their catch,
