Member Posts: 51 Location: Eau Claire, WI | I plugged in my 3 bank charger today, and got all flashing red lights...I had not "topped" them off since January... Any ideas on the problem and will I hurt it to let it run for a couple of hours to see if it "straightens itself out" ????????? It is in a 2003 Tyee 1950 Ltd....... Thanks in advance...............

If all 3 banks have red lite flasing suspect your charger? It is highly unlikely all three batteries would go bad at the same time. Hope this helps. Edited by eye Lunker 4/24/2005 12:00 PM

Member Posts: 874 Location: Neenah, WI | If the batteries are fully discharged, an on-board charger may not work. You might have to put a charge into each battery with a conventional charger first. Each one may need a little juice in it for the on-board to do it's thing. Good Luck.

Flashing red means the charger is not recognizing the presence of a battery. Take your wires off the batteries and clean the posts. Now,,, if it continues after that,,, keep in mind these chargers will not kick in... on anything reading below 10.6 volts. If your batteries are below that...you may have to kick them up for a few minutes with a portable charger... then re-try and let the on-board take them up from there.
