| Anyone who can help me out this year on Bago.... is appreciated. I've done very well this year on Bago on both the East shore and Garlic on flat days... but as soon as the wind picks up, I'm dead on the water. I' was on the water on Sunday and caught a limit of nice 17-18 inch fish on the East shore, running 85 back with #5's in silver. Went back today... fished for 7 straight hours in the wind... nothing. I tried a whole bunch or different speeds & lures over a 6 mile area that I was marking a ton of fish, but I could not pull a Walleye out of the group. This seems to happen to me on Bago every time I'm trolling the mud.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....
p.s. the new bluegill #5 shadrap is a killer sheephead lure..... |

| Have you tried fishing higher? When the waves make the wind blow, I have always tried to fish a little higher. A couple years ago on Erie, we could actually see big walleyes in the troughs of 6 foot waves! |

Location: WI | Do what you can to decrease the wind action transmitted to your baits. examples, 1. bring your boards closer to the boat.
2. long line out the back of the boat. 3. long line shallow baits off your boards. |
