Got out on the water about 9:00 this morning, took me till about noon to find the fish, caught a nice 27 and doubled a pair of fat 24's along with 15 additional Walleyes in the 14-16 inch range. The fish were up on top of the north end of the reef (Ganos) in 3-6 feet of water. I caught everything on firetiger Holographic (#5's from Gander) today, 25 - 40 feet behind the boards, no weights... drifting (no motor) 1.0-1.2 mph. Today's wind was out of the west, southwest, and the fish turned on as the wind picked up. I was still catching fish when I had to leave @ 5:00 o'clock. My best path today was west to east with the wind on the north end where the reef gets up to 3 feet. (this time I kept my motor up... to protect my new prop and a repaired skag from last week's fishing) I was surprised to find a 3 foot hump on the North end of the reef... It does not show it on my map. I know there's one on the south end cause I hit it last week!!!! .

I learned to be patient this week.... the fish are there, I found if I stayed in the area's I was marking fish, eventually, the fish would turn on.

Hope this helps out for anyone fishing this weekend.. I'm out of town till next Wednesday... be on the water after that the rest of next week.
