AT the Woodfield Suites on College Ave, by the Applebees.

I may stop by just to say hello to some friends. Saw Keith K there yesterday.

I'm in a break from meetings right now, at the NPAA. This is the first meeting that I have attended. Today is manufacturers day. For anybody that is a tournament fisherman, you should join. The $100 membership fee was well worth the money that I paid, just for today. From meeting the big time pro's to the prostaff coordinators. I have learned more today than I have in the last 3-5 years.

The NPAA also works the DNR of various states to help improve the fishing, so it's not just for the tournament fisherman.
Just thought I would share my views on the NPAA

I just got home from todays meetings. Another great day discussing fishing related information. Everything from just talking to fellow anglers to hearing from the manufactures and what their views and thoughts are of not only the NPAA but what the industry is doing.

Tomorrow should be even better with disscussions on how to market yourself to how to do seminars. The open forum today was very interesting and should be equally as good tomorrow.

I still can't believe that anyone that is a member from the Fox Valley area wouldn't attend this. The chance to talk with fellow pros like Keith, Gary Parsons, Tommy Skarlis, Ted Takasaki (sp) and more not to mention getting to meet people inside the industry is definatly worth the membership.

Nobody said they were god, they are some of the best in tournament walleye fishing. Who better to ask questions to, then the people that have done it.

Eric,
Don't even respond to posts like that. It's just a "hit and run" to get your gile up.

Glad to hear you're having a good time. Wish we could have been there this year too!

Enjoy the day!

Guest.

My attitude about Pro's was close to yours a few years back. Of course back then I was God, and there could not be any other false Gods before me. I've realized a few things since I've gotten older and a whole lot smarter. And even though a few Pro's might still be of that (I'm God) mind set, I think the majority of them are genuine. A meeting like this would be like setting down with your grandpa to aquire his years of knowledge, except these grandpa's are your same age. I'd personally love that part.

Juls, I know. I just hate it when people make statements like that, and then don't leave their name.

Dan, that's exactly how I felt, sitting down with them and getting all tha knowledge.

I learned even more today, how to gain, and hold onto sponsorship, how to sell yourself to sponsors. Very informative for aspiring pro's.

Don't let them get your goat Shink. Part of being a serious competitor is having people throw rocks at you from the bushes. I always figured it was because I know something that they don't.

We wanted to get over there this weekend to say hello to some of our friends but just couldn't make it. Hope you had a good time and learned a lot.
