Location: Rochester, MN | Went to the Trempealeau dam last night to see if that was doing any good. Even though we had the place to ourselves, and not near as many weeds as at Dresbach(must be lake ona) the fishing wasnt great. Or we're doin it wrong! Caught 4 saugers and 1 walleye just pitching plastic. Nothing great on the size. All fish were caught in 10-14 feet of water which is not what Im used to. No fish caught shallow. Alternated between 1/8 and 1/4 ounce jigs. Perhaps the day bite will be better at Tremp. |

Location: Chicago IL. | Thanks Steve for the reports. Tremp is one of my favorite places to fish on the river. I have a group of us going to pool 9 over thanksgiving weekend. I will have a pot of my chilli for lunch on friday and sat. If anyone else is interested also just let me know if you comming. |

Location: Chicago IL. | Hey Len . As it gets closer, it will be easier to get details together but I will be staying at the big river inn, getting there on thurs night. Most likely heat up some food around 12 in the afternoon. We were going to do this last year but the rain shut it down and we just fished. Let see what the weather will be and if its not to bad I will bring some erie walleyes to fry up also. |

| have a friend invite me to Trempealeau next weekend wondering how the bite is and how crowded it is this time of the year. are there fish down stream from the crowds to be had. my boat but new comer to the river. any tips welcome. |

Location: Rochester, MN | There is a landing in Dresbach MN which is off the I-90 exit MN side. Bottom end of pool 7. This is about 2-3 miles north of the next pool down (pool 8). Northeast of there about a mile is a slough WI side which should have some fish in it. Fish the shallower edges of the slough and towards the end where it runs into lake onalaska. Jigs and minnows, assorted plastics, or 3-ways with bait or cranks should produce. |
