| Over the past few years I've been witness to roughly 7 dual frequency transducers breaking. I'm curious to how many others are experienceing the same problem.
Futhermore, I find it discourageing after talking to different people associated with Lowrance and only getting excuses at best for what I believe is a design flaw. I'm hoping I can bring some recognition to the problem in hopes that Lowrance might resolve the flaw or atleast eliminate the faulty product from the market place. |

Location: Chicago IL. | Yes I have seen alot of them break off also. I think they are too big and drag alot of water for boats running at higher speeds. They need to make the bracket twice as strong as it is now. Jayman when it broke on you, at slower speeds,it should have been replaced right there. |

| i also would like to add my old garmin had a big ducer and never broke off! it is a serious design flaw. |

| Jerry, I got your e-mail too late to call. Let me know when's a good time and I'll give you a call.
Now for the question...I like the Dual freq for open water trolling. Especially the 50 hz transducer, the cone angle allows you to see much more. I've been told by Lowrance that there is no reason to use a dual freq transducer. But at the same time anyone that isn't using a 50 hz is missing out. It's night and day difference compared to a 200 hz trnsducer. There's other apps as well. |
