Looking for any info on walleyes for this area of the Mississippi. Not a big troller type so any info you can provide for this time of year would be greatly appreciated. Fished this pool a couple of times. Thanks KC

KC, If trolling is'nt your thing than pulling live bait with a simple three way rig would be a good choice. You can do this in the same areas that we troll and put plenty of fish in the boat. When doing this I shorten my leader and dropper up a bit, lighten my sinker up to 1 to 2 oz, and slow way down. Use your electric trolling motor to very slowly pull your baits up and down the drops. If you want to drift with the wind a lindy rig can also work well. My choice of baits for this time of year would be leeches first and than crawlers. It also pays on some days to run a spinner rig on your three way rods. I personally prefer trolling because it allows me to cover alot more water and find active fish, although many of the clasic walleye technics will put plenty of fish in the boat here on the lake. Good luck...
