Location: Rochester, MN | As expected for this time of year and the current conditions fishing is taking off. Water clarity is good and not much debris floating either. Temperature is around 74. Found fish in a slough while trolling leadcore with black and gold #5 RS Shad Raps.
Biggest fish was 25" and several nice solid fish. CPR attached.

| nice fish hoagie, bad news is i was fishin pool 3 today and seen 2 guys keep 2 of them just like that, they caught them on cranks next to me iI couldnt believe it. Asked them if they were having problems catching smaller fish they said those were there only 2 walleyes of the day. I still can't beleive someone would keep fish over 5 pounds to eat. |

Location: Rochester, MN | I know. Its hard telling people what to keep and what to throw but I think alot of people get so ego attached to there fish that they cant bear the thought to put them back. But a fish that size...good grief thats not an eater! Thats what digital cameras are for if you ask me. I didnt keep a single fish today. Could have had a heck of a dinner but...I dont eat alot of fried food anyway. Plus my daughter got emotionally attached to them in the livewell so I had no choice but to throw them back! By the end of the day she had names for all of them. I told her remember fish are food not friends! lol. |
