Toss up between Rapala and Cotton Cordell. If I really only had 1 bait to use on the Miss. river I would think it would be a wally diver. On the other hand on lakes with clearer water, shad raps win hands down. John

My favorite has got to be the shad rap. That bait will work anywhere. shallow or deep, fast or slow. It wins hands down in my book.

I don't want to have a favorite, but I can give a half-fast answer of "whatever the fish will bite on".

I fished with a friend who who believed in a bait so much he never changed it. What is just so amazing is he stuck with it even if I caught fish and he didn't!

Depends on the lake. For Winnebago I love the Deep Jr T-stick, followed by the #5 Walley diver and RS shad rap. Tail Dancers and Reef Runners have produced also. Lake Poygan, I like to run #5 Shad Raps, #5 walley divers, shallow jr t-sticks and the nils master. Those are just two examples of the lakes and bait I pull.

FOR Bago I would say Shad RAPS on the average for me. This last year on L.B.D. the Renoskys worked great.

i learned to have confidence in the rapala jointed deep diver. prey that rapala makes this lure in size 7-9 it would be the end of many walleye. i also have great faith in the shad rap RS the rattles kick butt, also dont rule out the cc-shads caught many walleyes in the upper lakes of winnebago on this crank.the old hot-n-tots in the rivers trolling leadcore works awsome. larry eaton

On Winnebago, it's the Deep Jr. Specifically, for big fish on sunny days, I like the 139 and 162 series. On cloudy days, nothing tops the 147 for numbers and big fish.

In general, I like fishing Deep Little Rippers and Reef Runners the best. They are awesome big fish lures, and seem to work on just about any water.

I have had a lot of success with Reef Runners also. A very good crankbait.
