the past few days again showing "walleyes" on the move and biting pretty darn good!
Conditions these past days showing cooling mornings and warming nicely throughout the day slowly bringing up those surface temps. to the lower 60's now. Winds being variable,
Warming temps. are showing improved weed growths throughout both upper and lower Bay areas. Concentrate on fishing and finding these weed pockets of cabbage, coontail and elodia.
Jigging again along with slow trolling floater jigheads (colors: oranges, purple and chartrueses, Walleye's Choice Tackle) harnesses as well both drifting and trolling off in-line boards.
Live bait of crawlers and still using the artificials with success.
Smallmouth Bass fishing and hearing some good reports of anglers catching some good numbers of fish and also with some size.
Something really overlooked out here is our "great" Smallmouth fishery as well the "big" northern pike also.
Always consider some options while out on the waters,

I visit your web site once in a while and I notice that you have several guides in your area that are very good fisherman. I am just wondering if you think that the guides in your area have an effect on the Walleye population by keeping all the big fish they catch for their clients. I always thought that the guides up there practice catch and release for the big Walleyes, but every time I visit yor site, I see 29-30 inch Walleyes on the brag hooks and not just a few, but quite a lot of them.

I was just curious about you how feel on this issue. I know that whenever I fish there in the fall, everyone that I meet up there insists that we release any bigger Walleyes. How many Walleyes do the guides that post on your site catch and keep every year? I know it's there business, but it seems they are catching and keeping an awfull lot of the big fish!

Thanks for your website, it keeps me looking forward to fishing the Bay all year!

What has that got to do with anything, I thought I was asking a legit question from a Guide that posts on this and other web sites looking for business. Did I do something wrong.

No, there is no requirement to register at all. It's a legitimate question you asked, but somewhat easy to see as 'negative'. Sometimes intent is lost in the interpretation on the 'net.

With the quality replica' and digital cameras available today, I don't see the need to keep big fish anymore purely for the sake of mounting. People will always keep some fish to eat which is great, that's why harvest limits are set.
