I left my Garmin handheld GPS in a friend's boat after fishing Tuesday, 7/4. He put it in the baitwell for safekeeping, and accidentally hit the switch at some point and flooded the baitwell, soaking the GPS for I don't know how long. He removed the batteries and returned it to me. I figured all was lost (it is an older Garmin 18, so no back-up), but after letting it dry out a few days, it fired right up and all waypoints are still there. Thanks Garmin for making a quality product.

Larry, if you read this, know that all is well.
