| Need some input on the new H2OC from users. The screen looks great in the store and with the lakemaster pro chip could be very cool. The question I have is this unit fast enough to track in a moving boat and will speed over water a option with this. Could see a big plus in the ice fishing season. Any input from user would be great..Thanks

| I bought a H20C last winter and have found it to be everything I needed/wanted. I have used it for ice fishing, a trip to Mille Lacs(w/Navionic's map), and for trips in the car, cannot live without now. It is fast, the two things I do not like is it really eats batteries and the screen is a little hard to see without the back light on. Otherwise, very well worth the money. |

Location: Midland, MI 48642 | I have the H2O as well. I use it mainly for ice fishing. I really think it worth every cent. I have it mounted on a Ram mount on my quad. They all eat batteries so I use the 12v cord as well. The screen is bigger than most which I also like so I can see it better at night IF My glasses aren't fogged up that is. ha Nels/Skeeter |

Location: New London, WI | I love mine and I think it was worth every penny. Like mentioned, very fast and I use it in the truck and on the boat. Batteries are an issue but I use the 12v plug in the truck and bought a four battery set with the charger from WalMart and rotate those batteries back and forth. The Lakemaster card is my favorite in WI as it covers many lakes but also all the roads as well as gas stations, restaurants etc.
Good luck,

| I have used a noncolored Lowrance iFinder for hunting and fishing. Its so easy to use and works great for lake maps etc, awsome tool, very fast, etc. Tip for batteries, use NMH rechargeable batteries these nickle metal hydride batteries are much better than cadmium rechargeables and new NMH rechargeable batteries have a much higher amp hour rating than at std alkaline battery to start with(ie. longer usage time between changing batterie however they do loose percentage of charge each day of storage but with recharge times of 15min.), they also hold up better in cold weather better(ice fishing/late season bow). The best cold weather batterie is a lithium battery however you will pay for them, cheaper to carry an extra set of NMH. The chemistry of an alkaline battery isn't a great design for use in cold weather. |
