Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Took the Vice president of the Tri-State (Mi., Ill., Oh.) Foot Locker stores for a 1/2 day charter this morning. I warned him when he called last night that the 6 footers on Friday, the 3 footers yesterday and the 7 pounds that was in first place in the FLW league event yesterday, might all spell bad news on the water today. But he wanted to do something nice for the family before they headed back to Chicago. So with all this good fishing news I riged up with straight meat on all 8 rods this morning prior too their arrival. Riged 4 of my spoon harnesses on one side and sent them back 65 Feet with one ounce keels. Riged the other side with my Wiggle Squids Rigs and sent them back 45 Feet with 1 ounce keels. Just put #8 rod in the holder when 2 rods went off on the spoon side. Landed both, decent fish. They did not want to keep any fish, so back they went. Trolled for about 1 mile and turned around and went back over this spot. Bang, another double, same size. Trolled past "H" buoy, turned around and hit that spot again. Bang, another double. One more pass, caught a 7 pound kitty and it was 10:30am and over for the day. Not another hit. 4 walleyes 1 kitty on the spoons and 2 walleyes on the Discs, yet we marked fish high and low the rest of the trip, but no other takers. Wind is suppose to blow 30mph tomorrow, just great.
