Location: Annandale, MN | Ok...that might be a little exaggerated, but it's really low in the St Cloud area (and points north). So I decided to do a little modification to my john boat. I added an electric jack plate. It raised the motor 3" with a 6" set back. My earlier posts were about running a jet outboard. Not enough time in the day to get that project rolling so I opted for this quick solution and it's something I have incorporated into john boats in the past. This specific model is a stick steer which is new to me.
So in the end what does this mean? I can get to fish like this easier and even in extreme low water years like we have now.
