Just returned from a short afternoon of fishing with my family. And other than the excitement of the landing having a few inches of water to roll through, the time on the ice was restful.
We had 4 flags and my baby boy was the breadwinner this day with a nice 27 inch northern. All of the flags came in 6-10 feet of water and small suckers were preferred. One of the fish mine wifey attempted to bring along was very heavy, but it spit the hook at the hole. She was disheartened by this until right at dark when we gave her another chance. She responded by landing a sublegal that we happily returned to this small Manitowoc County lake.
We are planning another trip tomorrow afternoon and hope the rest of my boys can get in on the action, as they are being constantly reminded by the babyboy how they suck at fishing!
