The fish are still biting in Lake Winnebago...mainly perch for the most part, but the whitebass and walleye are starting to enter the Fox River. Fished yesterday at the mouth of the lake and river in the wind and picked up about 40 whitebass...only about 6 over 12 inches...the rest anywhere between 4 and 8 inches. They were biting really well in the wind, but hard to get a good keeper. No walleyes yesterday, but got quite a few nice ones before the cold front came so I am sure they are in there just a little slow. Seen a boat using minnows doing real well on small whitebass...whereas I just cast flies. Hope this helps

Helps a ton. Was about to make my move up river. Had my fill of perch and whitebass. Those eyes just seem full. I know they are there, but damn if I cant get em to go. Then again, love fishin the wolf in the fall.

How do you guys fish the fly rigs?

Double flies off a three way?

Trolled or slipped?

Seen guys use them in the spring but never realized they were effective during the fall!
