I forget where I got it, but had this picture in my PC files and was going to share it a while back but forgot. I know that Blue walleyes are rare and often talked about. Just wondered how rare the Blue perch are. I think I remember it was caught on Lake Erie.

You can grow perch that color by feeding them blood meal so this may be related to diet.

I'd turn that color too, if all you fed me was blood meal

I will continue to watch what you eat... It is hard enough to explain that you're my friend... If you were "weird" and "blue"... think how hard that explanation would be... LOL!

And, I caught some of those "blue perch" up the Peshtigo River... They really threw me the first time I saw one...

If I were a blue man and weird I could sellout theatres in Vegas. Unfortunately, I would not be original

I'll just stick to being weird................

Oh Sunshine I could really come back with a reply here buddy. LOL I'm the one who caught this fish. Came out of Erie, North and East of Ashtabula on a dipsy with a perch worm harness this Summer. On an off day I and 3 buddies were just fishing for fun when I brought it in. First fish to go on the wall in more than 20 years for me. Talk to a couple fo bioligist about it. Can't really see it in the picture but the fish has a pinkish shade to it's eyes. They compared it to a true albino deer. They said the fish is born with no char or green pigment in it's skin and scales so it's blue. My buddies saw the rod go off but the rod didn't have a big bow in it so they just kinda got lazy. That'll teach em. Hutch Hey Larry

Now I remember who sent the picture. Loved that last batch of jigs I got from you Hutch. The walleyes on the Tittabawassee and Saginaw love em as well. Kinda neat that the glitter comes as standard equipment on the jig finish now.

Hutch, don't cut Sunshine any slack. Good to see you back on the site. Are you making any of those glitter jigs in superglow colors?

Man, you can just feel the luv. With friends like you guys it's no wonder that I'm blue.

How's the river Hutch? Have the big girls set up in any pattern yet? Any shallow bite like when we met up last year on the water?

I'm gonna need to make a trip to see you this winter to restock on several items.

Hey Dennis...

Let me know if you want to fish a day or two as well as see Hutch....

We found a great restaurant near Lynxville... The Spring Lake Inn Friday night catfish all you can eat... I'll go back up there anytime... And, if the fish are biting a double blessing... My boat never gets winterized so I am always ready... just say the word...

Out of the last nine days in a row there's only been one tuff day. We still ended up with 5 eyes and some nice smallies on that trip. Other than that slow day it's been very good fishing. We've got em up to 8 pounds. Had one smallie right at 21 inches as well as a bunch of other nice ones. But all and all a lot of nice eyes from 16 to 22 inches. Most all on jigs and plastic. A heads up here. There REALLY cracking down at the Genoa dam for having your boat above the LINE. So if you go up to the false locks or fish the tarmac stay below the signs or get ready to pay a 265 dollar fine. Heard one guy got nail 2 times in a week. Fish the next 2 days with clients then I'm going to Little Bay to play for a couple nights. Hutch

That means that the 9th and 10th and the 16th and 17th... I suppose the 16th and 17th are better for me from a scheduling standpoint... Also, keep your Christmas break in mind if possible...
