Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Fished for fun today with my 1st Cousin after his call last night about doing good on Sunday for both Perch and Walleyes on the Saginaw Bay proper. Always wondering and thinking that there might be a fishery out there similar to what LBDN Mich, Huron and Vermillion Ohio have, (but never seeming to have enough time to try it) I was ancious to give it a try today. All I can say is he was right, and we had a ball. Shown in one picture is my Cousin with our 2 biggest fish, about 5 to 6 pounders. The other picture is my share of the bounty I took home.
I've been sworn to secrecy and cannot tell you where we were on the Bay, but will say we caught most of the fish on Dave's Ka'Boom Mean Streak #92, 55 back and trolled at 1.9 MPH on the GPS. The others came on the old Storm Lure 1/4 ounce Hot-N-Tot's, Gold/Black Back/Red Bill. I wish it had not been raining out this morning, because the pictures would have been fabulous. It was foggy all day and the Bay was like glass.
