Looking to put a new graph/gps with a chip.  Will be using it on michigan and winnebago looking for some insight as to what is a nice setup.  Had a lowrance 332c recommended, i see there are newer models than that i believe. Advantages, Disadvantages, comments on any graphs.

thanks

The first thing might be if you are looking at a price range? The second is are you Salmon fishing also?

If price does'nt matter and you have the room to run the large screen (10") or need the smaller (7") model, I would get one of these first. I would get a color unit for sure, and as large of screen as your budget can fit. Also are just going to use the unit for Mapping or as a combo? (mapping and sonar)

If in fact you do want to salmon fish also, I would get the dual Freq... unit and transducer. You will get better coverage on Lake Mich... with the 50Khz. (if looking at a combo unit)

If you are just looking at a mapping unit the 7" unit would be fine and they make models with the maps pre-loaded.

Gordy is right with the dueal frequency for the Great Lakes, allows you to 'see' your downrigger balls, and much more.
