I have an opportunity to pickup a BottomLine Fishfinder at a great price, but want to get an idea if it's a good product before I pull the trigger. It would be a tournament 5100 model.

Thanks,
Craig

hey craig.

You know I seen a few of these in some of my backissues of walleye insider. I run lowrance (with the fishmark320). Website shows it to be a nice unit.

The last time I was on a boat that didnt have lowrance, I almost freaked out. He had raymarine.

Hey Komo,

The more I research fish finders the more I want a combo unit. So I'm going to pass on the Bottom Line unit. I've seen a few sales on Lowrance black and white combo unit's on various websites. Hopefully the right deal on a color combo unit pops up. So the search goes on...

As a side note, not sure if I heard it or read it somewhere that 85-90% of all walleye pros run Lowrance, that should of answered my question about Bottom Line fish finders.

I seem to see a lot of bottom line stuff, as well as that pinpoint stuff, up on various minnesota and north rigs. Not sure if there is any correlation. Yep a dual unit is nice. I have been a fishmark fan for sometime. But once I got the 332C, I flipped. GPS is nice, as is network capability and depth finding of course.

Give it some good thought. I bought the 332c for the dash with the i ntention of moving it up to the bow, and replacing it with a bigger unit, ie, 111. Love to get my hands on one of those, just cant swing the ska-rone just yet.

the bottom lines have always been good, take a look at eagle by lowrance these are great and the prices are affordable, we sell both in our store have not had many problems with either. there is some hot deals on 334cs and 332cs color lowrances once you go color you wont go back to black and white.i would not be afraid of a bottom line i had a 310 xt bottom line on my guide boats , i have had it since 1989 it is still working like new,
