How did you mount your X113 on your Tuffy Consoles? The 1890 and the 2060 DS console are the same. I'm thinking the Tom Backer bracket, to get it away from the windshield.

Gordy, how did you mount your console electronics? I'm trying to avoid using a big Ram, and I don't have the room for two smaller Ram's like Jim Ordway used on his Ranger.

Pictures will help.

Are you guys mounting the transducers on the outside or inside on the bottom?

I have mine on the outside, but I think it is because of the full windshield when it is closed, I get a vacuam at high speed behind the windshield and get a mist coming back into the boat, I have raised it up as high as I can with out losing the signal.

Still have a smile though when the GPS says 60+

Hi guys,

I used a Anglers Pal mount ( twice as good as the Ram) you can't move it once it's in it's place. I use the 25 model Lowrance units so I don't know about the biggest ones as to how they would fit. I hope to be pulling the boat home soon, so I can start sanding all the dings from ND last fall. Man is that place ruff on hulls all the gravel makes the hull feel like hamburger.

On a side note: Shep you missed a great time in Madison, I taught Mike, Norm, and Jeff the proper form to punt a 50" ski and also just how to cut them up into steaks. Steve thought I should get it on video (only if I have a death wish), Mike thought I should wear a mask like those pu$$yes over seas that kidnap women and chop them up on video (with a mask on of course).

Ask Norm how he likes buying Mike a $125 beer mug! Those guys are nuts, but had a great time and it was nice to meet some of the other guys! Even roomed with Dan M.

I'll look at the Angler's Pal.

Yup, I wish I would have gone anyway. Heck, that storm wasn't nothing, as it turned out. I've driven in a lot worse, in a car with no 4WD in Minnesota when I was stationed there. $125 Beer mug? Must be big!

You got a towtector for the tow vehicle? I see Norm has one. I hear they help alot.

Moreyes, in NASCAR, they call that the draft. Happens at very high speed. Slow her down a bit, and you'll be fine. I'll be mounting mine outside.

Shep,

If your looking for a Mud flap system, check this one out. Got to use these this summer on the PWT, they were a sponsor. But I will say, I saw every kind of mud flap system there was out there this summer and by no means am I trying to pimp Kwikpfyt, but IMHO, this is by far the best mud flap you can buy. I have one on the back of my truck! And from what I have found, they are priced quite reasonable compared to some of those prices for some other name.

Here is the website link:

www.kwikpfyt.com

Here is Bob Berg's number, 701-238-6289, tell Bob I sent you and he will take good care of you Shep. Let me know if you have any questions, or want some pics of mine.

Dan

I got mine from anglers pal themselfs, I would just try and call them. They don't have alot of dealers that I have seen, they are lacking on the sales and don't advertise very well. It's a good mount, I just don't know if they are to sure how to get it in the market?

I use Bobs protector, I don't care what you have in ND you will get some rock dings! It's a great product.

Gordy,

I'm not saying you wont get any dings, there will never be a perfect solution for stopping those stray stones, I just like how the Kwikpfyt worked, that's all. I don't doubt you at all about not getting any dings on the boat.
