I got an email from Lowrance saying that there is updates available for my LCX 20 is anyone aware of if these updates are the 3000 lakes Hot maps or whatever they are? Or are they just software upgrades or what...I just havent got around to doing it yet, and was curious. I was at Walleye University at Scheels in Fargo and forgot to ask Johnnie and Jim. Any help? If not I guess I will just have to download and see!

Thanks

There are usually software updates. Some very important, others not so much. Either way, you should get it done asap.

I believe the lowrance website states what the updates are.

Usually they're just software upgrades. You just download the software and insert a SD card into your card reader. Run the software and it will install to your card. Put the card in your unit, and some will install themselves. On other units you have to go to your software info in the menu and install it. It's pretty easy and fast. I just downloaded some new software from Lowrance today.
