Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | Well, I just could not take it so I decided to fish the PWT again this year. IF we get all the rain that is in the forcast, this spring will be AWESOME! Anybody else from here fishing it? Edited by Rich S 3/28/2007 11:04 AM

| Called about the Mille Lacs one (home waters) but they could'nt tell me if they had any openings. They wanted me to send in my money and tell me later (2 months) sitting on my money. So I passed, I would like to know if they have openings before sending in money to an event, since I'm the one that has to make arrangments to fishing the thing i.e putting together a schedule so I have my kids covered while I'm gone and the wife is at work. | |||

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | I talked to Jim K before sending in my entry. He told me they had one pro opening and 5 co-angler openings for the Winneconne tournament. I sent in my entry right away so hopefully I filled the only open spot left on the pro side but there still should be co-angler spots open if anybody is interested. Member Posts: 617 Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | I would love to fish an event like the PWT at Winneconne, but I just can't risk that kind of money right now. Maybe if I sell a few cranks I don't use much anymore.... Anybody want to pay $20 a piece for some Nitro Shiners? $25 a piece for some slightly used shad raps??? Hahaha

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Gordy, I would have to say that the Mille Lacs tournament is more than likely already filled up. Being that tournament is a very popular one, and so many pros centrally located to that water, I'm sure that filled quite fast! I know the co-angler side last year filled basically instantly last year for the super pro side. I'm sure it's probably similar this year too.

Member Posts: 39 | Yes, Mille Lacs filled very fast. Many people signed on for 2 events just so they could fish that one. I heard that there is something like 105 pro's signed on for all 4 regionals. Add in the Super Pro's, and with the selection system they had in place, there were only a small handfull of openings left on the pro side when they started looking at the entries for only that one single event. Should be an interesting tournament since historically, the week leading into Memorial weekend is when the largest mayfly hatch happens on Mille Lacs every year! | I will be a co-angler in the PWT for the first time. They mentioned in the paperwork that co-anglers can chip-in towards bait/gas. Is this generally expected and how much?

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Co-Angler, You can chip in anywhere from $5 to $50. That is your choice. This is not mandatory, but I know a lot of the guys greatly appreciate it, especially with gas prices where they are. But I would say most that do chip in, it's usually anywhere from $10-$20. Some may give more because they really enjoyed who they fished with and had a good day with that given day's pro. But there is no set amount. Totally up to you!

| With the weather last year crushing my "go for it all" pattern, I almost paid my co-anglers | |||

| Thanks Jerry, I hope so. It will be fun no matter what. I had a blast last year with my co's and I hope the felt the same way. Now if we can just keep the wind under 30 mph my stuff should be going! | |||
