| Saturday March 17, 2007 found the Skies bright with calm winds for 57 teams of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters in Spring Valley Illinois. The teams arrived from Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and Ilinois with the river dropping very slow and the surface water temps in the high 40's. Placing 1st was the team of John Mixen and Dennis Miller from Joliet Local #174 with a 6 fish limit of 11.90 pounds. John and Dennis caught there fish pulling floaters upstream in the Utica area. coming in 2nd place were Steve Hunter Local #1and Don Johnson Local # 1889 from Mahattan, Illinois with a 6 fish limit of 10.38 pounds. Placing 3rd were John Perez, Dyer, Indiania Local 1185 and Brother Chris Perez, Local 1185 from Crestwood, Illinois with a 6 fish limit of 9.88 pounds. Big Fish honors went to the team of Mike and Pat Carr with a 4.07 pound Sauger. |
