Hopefully there will be a lot of fish caught - the river is rising and really muddy!

Looks like they got some nice rains in IL. How much did they get in the Spring Valley area? I saw a big band go just North of there. Hope the bite is atleast fair. Would like to see some of the guys that visit here do well.

Don't know how much rain they got, but it was quite a bit. The river has gone up again since last nite, maybe 2 feet again, and isn't supposed to crest until Saturday. My husband and son are down there fishing this one, had to work so I couldn't make it. They say the bite has gone down hill as usual when the waters rising.

Just got off the phone with Jim and he said they are making the anglers pull their boats out of the slips at the boat club. The water is expected to rise so high that they feel the boats aren't going to be safe. Someone told him they thought it might rise another 7 to 10 feet!!! Doesn't sound good!

According to the link at the top of the "General Discussion" page, expect another 4.5 feet of water at LaSalle. Not going to crest until Sunday. I'm not familiar with the area, but I have to think the bite is going to suffer with the water coming up that much.

Rumors floating around that the DNR might make the MWC cancel the event if the water gets above 24 feet. Its forecasted to do that by mid-Saturday.

There are rumors floating around that it will be a one day tourney because they won't be able to launch out of Barto on Sunday. We'll find out after 5 tonite!
Good luck to everyone if they fish
