Member Posts: 238 | I fish alot on one particular lake that has alot of rocks and shallow structure and on my Lcx 20 c gps/sonar unit, I have a lot of pink tracks on the map of the lake where i have driven over and over and over dodging the rocks. At the same time I have trails that I have saved. How do I delete the paths that my unit has traced without deleting all of my saved trails?

Does not have to be a big one; 126MB would be big enough. That way if you delete one of the ones you need you can always go back and reload the .usr file and everything will be back on the unit. Have you named the trails you have saved or know what the name or number of the trails you saved are?. If so you can go in and delete the ones you do not want. Press MENU twice and go down to trails. Select one of the trails you want to delete by going down to that trail and press ENTER, You will see the option, Delete Trail to the right of the trail name. Go over to Delete Trail and press enter. Do that to all of the trails that you do not want. When you are done with that and are satisfied that what you now have on your unit is what you finally want, re-save all of that information on the MMC or SD card you saved all of the information on with a different name. Now you have all of your waypoints, trails, routes and icons with one file name that ends with the extension .usr that you saved the first time and what you finally wanted with a different file name. If you are satisfied that you have what you want, go ahead with the next step of clearing everything on your unit. Now you can go into System Setup and select Delete All My Waypoints and press ENTER to remove all of your waypoints. Go to My Trails and do the same thing to delete all of your trails. Then go down to System Setup and go down to Transfer My Data, select Load and press ENTER and you should have only what you wanted back on your unit. Hope I did not confuse you with all of my instructions, but that is what I do for every fishing trip, plus allot more that I don't want to go into and confuse you more.

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Unfortunately if you are like many others, you turned on your trails and left it running. That means that every trail line that you see are all under one name. If that is the case, you can not just delete one line without deleting all of them.......Unless you specifically went into the trail options and made a new trail. For the record, there is a way to delete individual trails on the main screen like you were deleting icons. I do not remember the exact steps to guide you through it without firing up my unit which is not available at this time.
