Location: Gladstone, Michigan 49837 | April 26th, Little Bay's update,"
quiet winds this morning, heavy cloud cover is seen over the Bay as of this report. Temps. to warm to the 50' mark today and light winds. Fisherman still concentrating on those Perch with boating activity being seen in both the upper and middle Bay areas.
Simple Perch Rigs having a drop sinker fished vertical is working the best. 2-hook rigs and either using a wiggler on each hook or placing a small minnow on one and the other with a wiggler gets strikes. An anchoring up approach has seen the best results as these schools of fish move through.
Keep in touch fisherman, "Walleye" spawning still continues but will soon be completed!
All indications showing us with a good opening season again,
We still have some May dates after the 15th. open, so lets get you on the water.

Here's a photo of one of the Perch Rigs you can buy and many fisherman make their own rigs using the same type drop-sinker and actually attaching snelled hooks doing the same exact thing.
Enjoy the fishing guys.....
