where is an ideal location to mount a 200 mhz lowrance transducer so there wont be so much distortion on screen when traveling on water. if anyone can help i would appreciate it thanks.

Mount it on the step.. right side of center that's where I have mine and it workes great, I have never lost a signal or had any distortion.
