Shep took me out tonight and showed me how to crawler harness walleyes (yup, I'm an idiot to your ways, for I have been a musky fisherman for 10+ years. put me on a damed up river in October with jigs and thundersticks, I'll teach you something). Here are lessons learned from tonight (in no particular order):

1) The people I know kick butt.

2) Lori is the most patient wife in the world for letting me come home late twice this week.

3) If you fish with Shep, you'd best bring a big cooler with you.

4) tie your crawler harnesses with fluorocarbon!

5) I got to ask shep again about those color combos (although, those smiley blades turned on at the end!).

6)Shep's Tuffy boat kicks BUTT! I want to be involved in building them!

Shep has this tendency to take folks fishing now and again, and it seems the net gets used quite a bit!

What a great evening to be out on Green Bay. Just a bit of a breeze, and the sunset was great. Fishing was good. Got on the water around 5, and had our first fish in the net by 5:30. At one point we got on a herd of goats, and had 4 of the 6 rods loaded up with them! hehehe We ended up keeping 8 bretween 16 and 19, put a couple back, and missed several. The fish were willing, and we had a blast. Thanks for sharing the boat with me, Nightmare.

Shep, you will have to give me the recipe for those goats, I have never been able to make them taste good.

I eat 'em raw, Rich!

Actually, for Rich, I would edit my post to say we kept 8 WALLEYES. Everyone else knew I wasn't talking about keeping goats. I also don't net goats. Do you?

Zach, why does the edit button disappear after a few minutes?
