Member Posts: 3899 | Congrats to the winners! 4 really, really good fish. We actually had a fun tourney, even though we were restricted to the river. I was surprised as any with the weights that were pulled. We really thought we were in great shape when we pulled a 7.5 lber early in the morning. I thought maybe that big fish was a fluke, but as it turns out, it wasn't. All day, we kept wondering if we should run a bait up high, but never did, as all our fish were coming off the bottom. I should listen to myself more, I guess! Also, want to say great job to all the contestants, as it was crowded, and most everybody played nice. Only a couple that insisted on running two boards out on each side, but for the most part, there were no issues that I saw. Thanks Jim, for letting us play. You made the right call, and we we're all safe and sound. See you at the Merc. Unless you want to get out on the MadTown Chain for a day.

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Congrats to the top money finishers. This was definitely an experience with all them boats in the river. I would like to commend and thank everyone who fished to include the locals for being patient and considerate during the day. The river looked like rush hour in Chicago. All in all it was a great tournament. Kudos to Jim and his crew and to all who fished this one. I didn't see any single finger waves all day. Thanks again to everybody for keeping your cool.

Member Posts: 3899 | Just an observation on what a great job the winners did. Lake Erie FLW. 5 fish, 28 lbs. MWS Marinette, 4 fish, 27 lbs. I wonder how much time each spent prefishing the winning pattern?!!

Member Posts: 340 Location: McFarland, WI | We too had a great time fishing for 3 days and enjoyed fishing the river. I need to thank Brian at Nestegg Marine for getting us back on the water. We showed up at 4:55 Friday with a nonfunctional motor and he got up early Saturday and got it going. He also did well in the tourney in spite of me delaying his prefishing. Larry Strelow
