Ok, I want to keep water from coming into the livewell when I launch the boat. Which setting do I want the livewell switch on the right back corner of my 1760 to be set to.

Slamr, you want to set the selector switch on recirc in order for it not to fill.

just remember to turn it back before you run it/fill it so the pump can get outside water.
once it's full, turn it back to recirc to keep water in (or out) of the livewell.

anybody using any aftermarket aerator systems in their livewells?
i see some crappie fishing in my future and need to keep the bait alive...

I know a few guys using the oxygenator and they love it I will have to agree with more eyes and say if I do not get a new Tuffy next year my current one will have that added. Although as far as oxygen content goes I had my livewell tested at one of the FLW leauges byt he DNR and I had 7.3 in my livewell which was way above average. Just another positiive for the Tuffy's

Can someone explain the whole process. What does recirc mean?? Is there an aereator or do you add that after. I have an 05 with the old switches (esox mag). What does freshwater pick-up mean etc.

Or just a rundown on how to fill, drain, keep water in/out, and if I need some sort of extra aeration.

Thanks!

Recirc closes the system to fresh water and circulates the water in the well. That is also the position you want the switch in to keep water out of the well for the most part, but it won't be 'dry storage' dry. The system has a venturi spray head, so oxygen in the well will be excellent. The fresh water pick up is the EZ pump housing on the back of the boat. that oushes water into the system when under power and on Automatic; keeping your fish alive on long runs.

Empty position will drain the well.
