A great tournamet which is dedicated to the Great Gary Gray.....

Gary was watching over the anglers today as record catches came in. 285 teams out of 314 teams brought limits to the scales. The average fish weighed 2.5 lbs and the biggest fish for the day weighed 7.8 lbs. 1,497 fishe were weighed on day one for a total weight of 3,808.65 lbs. Sunday should be a shootout to place in the money.

The top five teams were:

HETZER/HETZER 21.74
ROGGOW/ROGGOW 21.40
SCHMITA/BELLMER 20.24
HOELZEL/HOELZEL 19.62
HILDAHL/NELSON 18.98

results can be found at www.theosfc.com

Good Luck tomorrow!

Congrats to all the fisherman! There were a lot of nice weights again today with the biggest basket weighing just over 24 pounds!!! A lot of nice 6-7 pound fish were caught as well.

Now is the time to hit winnebago, This tournament impressed a lot of people with the quality and numbers of 2-3 pound fish.

See you all next year!

I just want to take a minute and say how great of a job everyone did in putting on this years tournament. All the people who gave up their weekend to help out, and the Fishing Club for making it run so smooth, and Mr Bluegill for doing an awesome job as the MC.

What are the odds Troy or someone from the club that the comeback award could be changed to the Gary Gray award for future tournaments???? Or come up with an award to give away each year in honor of Gary

I fished this tournament and the bite was on fire all weekend and there were some schools of big fish out there. So did some cull maybe but that is their loss, but I think that most played by the rules and congrats to the winners. Maybe next year I can find some bigger fish. As for how the tournament was run hats off to all the people that made this one of the best run events you will ever see.

walleyeralph I puuled crawler harnesses all weekend and caught walleyes high as well as deep. Purple blades and white/pink blades worked best for me run with a 3/4 inline weight 20 feet behind the board. Also dont be afraid to try running them without any weight at all about 40-60 feet back.
