I just bought an aluminum Crestliner - 17 feet, 7". Will the Minn Kota engine mount work well that size boat? Also, how long are the wire leads? The trolling motor battery is way up front by the bowmount. Randy

Member Posts: 86 | Hi Randy The unit I had just sold pending payment. I might have a second one at my Michigian house. I will be going up there in mid. June and can let you know if I do. Also if the the sale of this one falls throught I can let you know. The unit has 54 pounds of thrust on the box it says for boats up to 21 feet. In the past I have used them on my 20 foot boats and they worked great. The reason I used them on my 20 footer is then I could run it to my back batteries and have the front batteries just for my bow mount. Most boat have a pre wired plug in the back for a rear mount trolling motor yours might have that if it does you can use this for your wires if not its pretty easy to run a couple leads to the front batteries. Thanks Nate
